Throne and Liberty 4.3.0 Adds Frostbite Fortress

Update 4.3.0 is a broad Throne and Liberty patch that expands both PvP and group progression. Frostbite Fortress, the new season schedule and extra rewards will reshape weekly priorities.

What changed after maintenance

Throne and Liberty update 4.3.0 arrived after the July 15 maintenance window, bringing new goals for competitive players and PvE groups alike. The headline addition is Seal Battle: Frostbite Fortress, a new Battlegrounds mode, supported by the start of Battlegrounds Regular Season 2, a fresh Dimensional Trials entry and additional Guild Raid options.

The patch matters because it does more than add another arena to the rotation. It gives players a clearer weekly split: some days will push different Battlegrounds activity, while organized groups will want time for Frostbreath Cave and the newly unlocked raids. For guild leaders, shot callers and players who plan around fixed group nights, 4.3.0 is the kind of update that can change the calendar immediately.

How Frostbite Fortress changes PvP

Seal Battle: Frostbite Fortress is a matchmade 12v12 Battlegrounds mode built around more than raw eliminations. Teams have to handle relic transport, area control and sealing mechanics at the same time. That gives the mode a strategic layer where movement, assignments and timing can matter as much as burst damage.

Protecting the relic carrier, interrupting the enemy carrier and committing to a seal at the right moment should define the rhythm of a match. Heavy damage compositions may still be valuable, but they will not solve every situation on their own. Survivability, mobility, crowd control and clear communication are likely to become more important in Battlegrounds after 4.3.0. With Regular Season 2 now starting, teams chasing seasonal rewards should expect the opening weeks to be full of tactical experimentation.

Frostbreath Cave and new Guild Raids

The update is not aimed only at PvP players. Frostbreath Cave has joined Dimensional Trials, giving coordinated groups a new route for progression and practice. As with most structured group content, success will probably depend on learning mechanics, bringing suitable gear and assigning roles cleanly, so early strategies and party setups should develop quickly.

Four new Guild Raids have also been unlocked, expanding the weekly workload for active guilds. Guild Raid content is valuable not only for loot but also for keeping a roster engaged and coordinated. After 4.3.0, guilds may need to revisit attendance plans, character roles and preparation requirements. The added rewards for running Co-Op Dungeons and Raids with new or returning characters should also help groups bring more players back into the loop.

What to prioritize first

Returning players should start by learning the Battlegrounds rotation and the rules of Frostbite Fortress, then map out weekly PvE targets. PvP-focused players may want to review gear sets for relic carrying, defense and disruption, while PvE groups should schedule early attempts in Frostbreath Cave and the new Guild Raids.
