Throne and Liberty 4.12.0 Adds Two Bosses and Level 90 Gear
Update 4.12.0 expands the Nix endgame with two field bosses and a broader equipment progression path.
Maintenance timing and update scope
Maintenance for Throne and Liberty update 4.12.0 is scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m. PT on September 16, or 5:30 a.m. UTC on September 17, and is expected to last about four and a half hours. If the schedule holds, players will gain access to the new Nix boss content and expanded equipment progression after the servers return. Because the duration is an estimate, checking the official status channels before logging in remains sensible.
The update is built around additional endgame targets for Nix. Two level 60 field bosses arrive alongside three armor sets and 20 accessories. Raising the maximum equipment item level to 90 will also prompt players to reassess current builds. It is more than a larger number: the new tier affects which activities are worth pursuing, where upgrade resources should go and what guild groups prioritize.
Grimturg and Exodus enter Tumgir Hollow
Grimturg and Exodus will appear in Tumgir Hollow within Nix. They share the same battlefield at different times, allowing players to learn one area for two encounters while making schedule awareness important. Both bosses are available as Peace, War and Guild encounters, giving access routes to players who prefer to avoid open conflict as well as competitive and guild-focused groups.
The patch also introduces Guild Contracts for Grimturg and Exodus. The bosses therefore become part of guild planning rather than serving only as loot targets. Leaders will need to coordinate encounter times, role assignments and contract progress. During the opening days, while mechanics are still being learned, survivability, communication and reliable positioning may be more valuable than chasing maximum damage.
New armor, accessories and the level 90 cap
Update 4.12.0 adds 15 armor pieces across three new sets as well as 20 accessories. One disclosed set, Verdigris Covenant, begins with a two-piece bonus that grants Block Chance. Exact values and the remaining set synergies should be checked in game, but this defensive opening already shows why players should evaluate effects suited to their role instead of looking only at item level.
With the cap moving to 90, it may be wiser to identify drop sources and compare set bonuses before spending stored resources immediately. Tanks, supports and damage dealers will not benefit equally from every piece, so agreeing on guild distribution rules before boss attempts can prevent disputes.
