Throne and Liberty’s Western operations transfer in late 2026

The handover begins in the fourth quarter

Amazon Game Studios has announced that it will transfer Western live operations for Throne and Liberty to FirstSpark Games and NC in the fourth quarter of 2026. The move closes an Amazon-led period of almost two years, but it is not an end-of-service notice. The stated plan is for the Western game to continue under new operators.

The announcement does not give an exact transfer date or a detailed technical schedule. Because the fourth quarter runs from October through December, players will need to watch for follow-up information about maintenance, account procedures and possible changes to regional services.

Open questions about accounts and servers

There are no details yet on how characters, currencies, inventories or guild records will be handled. Players should therefore ignore community claims that they must create a new account, choose another server or approve a transfer through an unofficial link. Any required action should be taken only after it appears on verified channels.

Platform account links, regional payment methods, customer support and the handling of personal data will be sensitive parts of the plan. A well-managed transition can preserve progression and social connections while changing the publishing, support and operational systems behind the game.

What it could mean for updates

FirstSpark Games and NC taking control may shorten the decision chain between development and Western publishing. It does not necessarily mean that content will launch on the same day in every region. Localization, balance work, platform certification and regional requirements can still produce separate schedules.

Players should continue following the existing official calendar for major patches, battle passes, events and store changes. The transfer announcement does not cancel previously announced content by itself. Until a fuller roadmap is released, the current service plan remains the most reliable reference.
