Throne and Liberty October update adds Velentra and cross-server siege

Throne and Liberty’s October update pairs a new four-star dungeon with a cross-server siege of Stonegard Castle. Tier-two equipment from Velentra also creates another route for endgame progression.

Two fronts for the October update

Throne and Liberty’s October update expands both major sides of endgame play. PvE-focused groups receive a new four-star dungeon that ends with Velentra, while large-scale PvP moves beyond individual server boundaries through a cross-server siege of Stonegard Castle. The package therefore gives players with very different priorities new objectives at the same time.

Bringing these additions together means more than simply increasing the activity count. The dungeon creates another path for equipment progression, while the siege changes how alliances prepare and coordinate. Character builds, party roles and resource plans may now need to serve two distinct high-level challenges instead of being optimized around a single familiar type of content.

Why the Velentra dungeon matters

The new dungeon is positioned as a four-star challenge, with Velentra waiting in its final encounter. Successful groups can earn tier-two weapons, accessories and armor pieces. That reward pool makes the instance a relevant progression route for players who need to fill gaps in established characters or assemble a second setup without relying on only one source of high-level equipment.

Basic preparation can make the first attempts at a four-star challenge more productive. Groups can define roles before entering, check the balance between survival and damage, and review their setup together after a failed run instead of relying on equipment score alone. The tier-two loot target also gives teams a clear reason to learn the encounter and turn the dungeon into a repeatable progression route.

Stonegard crosses server boundaries

On the PvP side, Stonegard Castle hosts a siege in which alliances from different servers can meet. Alliances can therefore face a broader and less familiar field of opponents instead of being limited to rivals from their own server. Leaders will need attendance, role assignment, pre-battle scouting and communication plans designed for that expanded competitive environment.

The winners receive additional rewards, but the effect of victory is not limited to the core group that enters the siege. The entire server of the successful alliance gains a buff named “Great Throne.” That server-wide reward makes the Stonegard result relevant even to players who do not personally enter the castle battle, connecting alliance success to the experience of the broader community.

Combat changes and practical preparation

The October package also includes changes to the combat system. Because their impact can vary by class and build, players should review the current notes and test their skill layouts in a low-risk setting before entering the dungeon or siege with old assumptions. Even a modest mechanical adjustment can alter a group’s rhythm, defensive timing or use of limited resources.

The update’s strength lies in avoiding a single-track endgame. Velentra offers a concrete objective to groups pursuing equipment, while the Stonegard siege creates competition at alliance scale. Over the following weeks, the order in which players target tier-two pieces and the way alliances adapt to cross-server opponents will show whether these additions become lasting parts of Throne and Liberty’s routine. Lessons collected during the first week should help communities establish dependable routes and role assignments. That will make it easier to separate the content’s actual difficulty from launch-day uncertainty and expectations based on equipment alone.
