Rust Common Ground adds clans, shops and apartments
Rust Common Ground is a July update focused on social structure and trade. Clans, shops and apartments are the headline additions.
The idea behind the July update
Common Ground focuses Rust’s July update on organization and economy. Players can work with clans, rentable shops and the Apartment Complex to build different plans for the opening phase of a wipe.
New monuments and trade
The Apartment Complex offers a more structured early foothold, while Rentable Shops make player trading easier to see and manage. On busy servers, that should make pricing, stock and security decisions more important.
What it means for clans
Clans may gain clearer identity and coordination tools from the update. Solo players, meanwhile, get new opportunities but also new places where conflict can concentrate. Rust skins and accounts can be traded on GameinShop with escrow protection.
