Lost Ark's August Update Raises the Stakes for Brelshaza

Lost Ark's Bitter Cold update turns Brelshaza into a limited-time Extreme challenge. New raid rewards and cosmetics arrive alongside it.

A limited-time Extreme Brelshaza challenge

The centerpiece of Lost Ark's The Bitter Cold update, arriving August 12, is Kazeros Raid: Act 2 Extreme. This special version of the Phantom Manifester Brelshaza encounter is not presented as a permanent raid tier. It is a time-limited challenge aimed at established groups, so teams following a normal progression schedule may need to reorganize their plans around the event window.

The Extreme encounter comes in Normal, Hard, and Nightmare tiers. That structure gives groups at different stages a suitable target instead of reserving the entire event for the very top end. The Extreme label still suggests that ordinary familiarity with Brelshaza will not be enough. Consistent damage, accurate mechanic execution, and dependable party coordination should matter throughout each attempt.

Coins of Fire and Ice and a Nightmare title

Clearing the raid awards Coins of Fire and Ice. The announcement does not provide a complete spending table in its short overview, but the coins clearly form the main reward loop for the temporary activity. Players planning to participate should therefore think beyond a single clear and prepare characters and schedules for repeat runs while the encounter remains available.

The most visible achievement reward is the Legendary Title โ€œLord of the Bitter Cold,โ€ granted for completing Nightmare difficulty. Rather than a direct power increase, the title serves as a lasting record of a demanding clear. For collectors and raiders who want their profile to show the accomplishment, Nightmare offers the update's most distinctive long-term souvenir.

Panda World cosmetics and maintenance timing

The update is not limited to raid progression. The Panda World Avatar collection enters the store together with a new mount and pet. These are cosmetic options separate from combat advancement, allowing players to evaluate the shop additions independently from their raid goals.

Maintenance begins August 12 at 07:00 UTC and is expected to last six hours, placing the estimated return around 13:00 UTC. Because that duration is an estimate, groups should check server status before fixing a start time, download the update, and finish character preparation once service resumes. Lost Ark gold, items, or accounts can also be traded safely on GameinShop with escrow protection.
