EVE Online makes Drone Fabricator sites permanent

Rampant Drone Fabricator sites tested during the Gallente Election are becoming permanent across C1-C6 wormhole space.

From limited event to permanent system

Rampant Drone Fabricator sites, first tested during EVE Online’s Gallente Election, are returning as permanent content after player feedback. The revised version is tailored for every wormhole class from C1 through C6. Exploration groups can therefore face escalating Rogue Drone waves without waiting for another temporary event window.

Permanent access does not make these sites routine PvE. Wormhole space offers no local-chat warning and its connections shift, adding a PvP threat to every run. Scanning, scouts and prepared safe locations may matter as much as the raw damage output of the ships entering the site.

Rampancy scales the danger

Ships near the Fabricator influence a point-based threat system called Rampancy. Each destroyed wave advances the encounter and increases the potential reward, while the opposition becomes progressively harder. Fleets must judge not only how much damage they can produce, but when continuing is no longer worth the growing exposure.

The headline change is an increase in the wave cap from 30 to 100. This does not mean every fleet must clear one hundred waves; it creates a much higher ceiling for prepared groups. Ammunition, drone losses, heat damage and pilot fatigue will become practical costs during extended attempts.

Preparation and risk control

Before entering, fleets should record their scan chain, mark possible exit connections and maintain directional-scan discipline. Logistics, spare ammunition and salvage capacity can affect survival as much as income on a long run. Establishing conservative withdrawal points during early attempts is wiser than chasing records with expensive hulls.

The sites could provide wormhole space with a steadier Rogue Drone loot source and fresh conflict points. Their true profitability will only become clear once reward distribution, completion times and ship losses are measured.
