EVE Online's Cradle of War turns Bulwark Mining into a Military Campaign objective

EVE Online's Cradle of War expansion is giving industrial pilots a clearer role in Military Campaigns. Bulwark Mining objectives let capsuleers gather key resources for their chosen empire and earn rewards while doing it.

Military Campaigns connect empire warfare to production

Cradle of War's Military Campaigns give EVE Online players a way to support an empire without every contribution needing to be a direct combat action. Capsuleers can choose one of New Eden's four empires, select an active objective and begin registering progress toward that campaign. Bulwark Mining is one of the clearest examples because it turns resource gathering into a front-line strategic activity.

That fits EVE's identity well. The game has always treated economics, logistics and war as connected systems rather than separate activities. Mining Kangite, Polycrase, Moissanite or Raspite in Bulwark systems now sits inside a campaign framework, which gives ordinary extraction a larger purpose. A miner is not only filling an ore hold; they are helping push a faction objective forward.

Objectives run through Theaters of War

Players join through the Theaters of War dashboard in the Neocom menu. From there, they open Military Campaigns, choose one of the four empires and pick an active objective. Selecting Participate Now starts tracking contributions and connects the activity to campaign rewards. The flow is direct enough that industrial pilots can participate without needing to decode a separate event structure first.

For Bulwark Mining specifically, players need to locate active sites with the Bulwark Mining filter. That detail matters in EVE because location and resource choice are part of the challenge. Mining the wrong material or operating in the wrong system can waste time, especially for corporations organizing several pilots. Clear filters help turn a campaign goal into an executable fleet plan.

Industrial pilots get a more visible wartime role

Bulwark Mining gives miners and industry-focused capsuleers a more visible place in the war effort. EVE headlines often focus on destroyed ships, expensive battles and territorial clashes, but none of that exists without ore, production chains and logistics. By making extraction a named campaign objective, Cradle of War brings that background labor closer to the center of the expansion's design.

The system may also encourage escort fleets, scheduled mining ops and corporation-level coordination around empire goals. Solo miners get a clearer reason to undock, while organized groups can track progress and rewards together. That makes Military Campaigns relevant beyond combat pilots alone. For an expansion called Cradle of War, the message is fitting: industry is not separate from conflict; it is one of the engines behind it.
