EVE Online's Carbon Engine Is Now Open Source

Fenris Creations, formerly known as CCP, has completed the open source release of its in-house Carbon Engine. The repositories became available on GitHub on July 1, turning a long-discussed promise into something developers can actually inspect. Carbon Engine is best known as the foundation beneath EVE Online, but it is also tied to EVE Frontier.
That makes the release more than a historical curiosity. EVE Online has spent years running one of the most complex player-driven worlds in games, with war, trade, industry, logistics, and diplomacy all colliding on persistent infrastructure.
