The Elder Scrolls Online’s limited ESO Plus free trial is live until August 27 at 10:00 AM EST. It lets players test the membership’s core in-game benefits without purchasing a continuing subscription. With a short window, anyone planning to explore new zones, sample group dungeons, or reorganize a crowded crafting inventory should first convert the deadline to their local time.
The promotion does not permanently turn a standard account into an ESO Plus account. Access ends with the trial, so new quest lines and exploration routes should be chosen around the time remaining. Joining on an established character may also make it easier to reach DLC zones and featured systems quickly instead of spending much of the trial on a fresh character’s early progression.
More than 30 DLC packs become available
The central benefit is temporary access to a catalog of more than 30 DLC game packs. It includes additional zones, story quests, and 30 group dungeons. Standalone systems with their own progression, including Antiquities and Tales of Tribute, are also part of the offer. The trial also doubles bank capacity for every character on the account. Players who have accumulated materials over months can use the window to clean up storage and prepare future crafting projects.
Other membership benefits remain active during the promotion. Experience, gold, and Archival Fortune gains receive a 10 percent increase, while longer-term activities such as crafting research also receive supporting bonuses. Their value naturally depends on playtime, but active players who continue daily quests, gathering routes, and archive runs are likely to notice the effect more clearly than occasional visitors.
What to do before the trial expires
Because DLC access is temporary, building a priority list is the safest strategy. Track quest lines you may want to continue, review any collections you unlock, and queue for group dungeons before the last day. Once the promotion ends, returning to restricted DLC areas will require the relevant ownership or renewed ESO Plus access, so unfinished plans should account for that change.
