Dota 2 Adds Trove of Terror With Two Guaranteed Arcanas

Dota 2’s Trove of Terror contains 19 cosmetics, led by Arcanas for Tidehunter and Drow Ranger. Both headline rewards are guaranteed by the 50th opening.

Trove of Terror arrives with 19 cosmetics

Trove of Terror was added to Dota 2 on October 7, 2026, introducing a collection of 19 cosmetic rewards. Fifteen of those rewards are Immortal-tier sets, giving the treasure a broad core selection rather than placing all of its weight on a single rare item. Its headline additions are an Arcana for Tidehunter and the return of the Drow Ranger Arcana.

The reward structure extends beyond the regular hero sets. The two Arcanas serve as the collection’s main prizes, while two additional appearances are tied to fixed opening milestones. As a result, the treasure combines randomized cosmetic results with clearly defined progression rewards for players who continue opening chests.

Immortal sets cover a varied hero lineup

The included Immortal-tier cosmetics feature sets for Tiny, Marci, Treant Protector, Terrorblade, Oracle, and Primal Beast. Ancient Apparition, Broodmother, Anti-Mage, Undying, Pudge, and Death Prophet are also represented in the treasure. That spread reaches across several playstyles and positions, from core heroes to supports and durable front-line choices.

With 19 cosmetics in total, Trove of Terror is not limited to those named hero sets. Its full structure consists of 15 Immortal-tier sets, the Tidehunter and Drow Ranger Arcanas, and the two milestone appearances for Tormentor and Roshan. This makes the fixed progression rewards part of the overall collection rather than ordinary random results from each opening.

Both Arcanas are guaranteed by opening 50

Trove of Terror includes bad-luck mitigation for its most valuable rewards. The key rule is that both the Tidehunter and Drow Ranger Arcanas are guaranteed by the 50th chest opening. Either reward may appear earlier, but the stated ceiling prevents a long run of openings from ending without the two featured Arcanas.

There are also bonus rewards at two earlier milestones. The 12th opening awards the Tormentor appearance, while the 40th awards the Roshan appearance. These checkpoints are separate from the Arcana guarantee, giving players fixed targets along the way and making it possible to see when each non-random milestone reward will be reached.

Chest pricing and what players should consider

One Trove of Terror chest costs 424 rubles. Before opening multiple treasures, players can consider how many of the featured heroes they regularly use, rather than judging the collection only by its two Arcanas. Bad-luck mitigation reduces uncertainty around the headline rewards, but it does not mean that every specific Immortal set is guaranteed on a chosen opening.

The treasure therefore has three clear progression points alongside its randomized set pool: Tormentor at opening 12, Roshan at opening 40, and both Arcanas no later than opening 50. Dota 2 items can be bought and sold on GameinShop with escrow protection.
