CS2 update adds Ranked Series stickers and refreshes three maps
Counter-Strike 2โs July 29 update puts Ranked Series stickers on sale. Boulder, Fachwerk and Shelter were refreshed alongside tools and Collection Catalog fixes.
Ranked Series stickers go on sale
The most visible addition in Counter-Strike 2โs July 29, 2026 update is the arrival of Ranked Series stickers. The new set is now available to purchase in-game. Valve says 50 percent of royalties are shared with players, teams and the tournament organizer, giving cosmetic purchases a direct connection to the people participating in the competition.
That revenue model makes these stickers more than simple inventory decoration. For collectors, the player or team receiving support may matter alongside design and rarity. It is still worth reviewing the details of each sticker or capsule before buying, particularly because community-market prices can move sharply during the first days of a new release.
Cologne 2026 shop receives a clear deadline
The update also confirms that items in the Cologne 2026 Shop will remain available for purchase until September 29, 2026. Interested players therefore have a defined window in which to decide rather than needing to buy immediately. A removal date, however, does not guarantee how any item will be valued on the community market afterward.
A closed supply window can sometimes increase interest in cosmetics, but value still depends on demand, circulation and changing player tastes. Buying for personal use or a deliberate collection is safer than assuming every item will appreciate. Anyone planning a late purchase should also verify the deadline in their own time zone as September approaches.
Boulder, Fachwerk and Shelter are refreshed
Community Workshop maps Boulder, Fachwerk and Shelter have all been updated to their latest versions. The announcement summary does not enumerate every individual adjustment, but syncing workshop releases means the creatorsโ newest revisions have reached the live game. Regular players may encounter differences in sightlines, collision points or environmental details when returning to these locations.
Players preparing seriously should explore each map again instead of relying entirely on established routes. Smoke lineups, jump spots and audio cues can all be affected by small geometry changes. Bringing the live maps in line with their current workshop builds also shows that these community-made spaces continue to evolve through creator maintenance and player feedback.
Tools mode and Collection Catalog fixes
On the technical side, Valve fixed a tools-mode bug that stopped scripts from loading until users triggered a manual recompile. The change is aimed mainly at map makers and content creators, removing an unnecessary step from testing and making revised scripts easier to run consistently. Its player-facing impact is indirect, but a smoother creation pipeline helps community content remain maintainable.
The update also resolves an issue that prevented some users from claiming Collection Catalog XP for The Dead Hand Collection. Previously affected players can check their progression after installing the patch. Players trading inventory items can also buy and sell CS2 products on GameinShop with escrow protection for a safer exchange.
