CS2 Opens Workshop Call for Fairy Tales Weapon Skins and New Sticker Themes
Valve has opened a new Workshop call for Counter-Strike 2 creators. The next round focuses on one weapon collection and two sticker themes.
What the new call includes
A new Workshop cycle has started for Counter-Strike 2 creators who design cosmetic items. After releasing weapon finishes and sticker collections selected from the previous Call to Arms-ory, Valve is now looking for a fresh batch of candidate items. This round is built around one weapon collection and two separate sticker collections.
The weapon finish theme is Fairy Tales. That leaves room for bright storybook imagery, fantasy symbols, folklore-inspired details, or darker interpretations of familiar myths. For stickers, Valve is asking for two directions: Cryptids and Pop Art. Cryptids gives artists space for legendary creatures, urban myths, and mysterious figures, while Pop Art points toward bold shapes, punchy colors, and designs that can stand out on weapons and profiles.
How creators can submit
Submissions are handled through the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop Tool. Artists need to choose the relevant option for the item they are uploading, whether it is a weapon finish or a sticker. The category matters because Fairy Tales, Cryptids, and Pop Art are being reviewed as distinct collection concepts. Sending a design under the wrong label can make the review process harder and may affect how well it fits the call.
Valve also notes that creators must accept Counter-Strike 2's supplemental terms if they want their work to be eligible for inclusion. That step is important for revenue sharing, usage rights, and the possibility of the item becoming an official in-game cosmetic. Uploading the file is only one part of the process; technical quality, presentation, originality, and the required approvals all still matter.
Why players should care
Workshop calls are one of the main ways CS2's cosmetic ecosystem keeps moving. Items selected from community submissions can later appear through collections, cases, or other official distribution paths. That makes this announcement relevant not only to artists, but also to players who follow new skins, sticker crafts, and long-term market trends.
The Fairy Tales theme could encourage weapon finishes with more narrative identity than a simple pattern or texture. Cryptids stickers may appeal to players who like strange, niche, or folklore-driven artwork, while Pop Art could bring high-contrast designs that read clearly in inventories, screenshots, and trade listings. Valve will make the final selections, so no specific item is guaranteed yet; the themes simply show where CS2 cosmetics may expand next.
Market angle
When new official collection calls appear, the community usually starts watching early concepts, known Workshop artists, and possible rarity structures. It is too early to make price predictions because the items have not been selected and the release format has not been announced. Even so, new themes can influence player taste and create demand for fresh skin and sticker combinations.
Players who want to buy or sell CS2 skins, stickers, or accounts can use GameinShop with escrow protection for safer trades.
