Street Fighter 6 Enters Apex Legends on September 22
Apex Legends and Street Fighter 6 meet in a special event beginning September 22. A remixed Olympus will bring iconic fighting moves into the battle royale arena.
Two competitive worlds share one arena
Electronic Arts and Respawn have announced that Apex Legends will meet Street Fighter 6 in its next themed event. Launching September 22, the crossover will carry characters, visual cues and some of the best-known techniques from Capcom's fighting series into the Outlands. The announcement points to a broader in-game presentation than a collaboration built only around costumes.
Apex's squad battles and Street Fighter's one-on-one heritage belong to different genres, but both reward movement, timing and reading an opponent's intentions. That gives the partnership a convincing thematic connection. Players can already watch the first trailer for a look at the event's direction, while the playable content is scheduled to arrive on the announced date.
Hadokens and Shoryukens reach the Outlands
The standout detail is that signature Street Fighter techniques such as the Hadoken and Shoryuken will appear in Apex matches. The announcement does not yet explain whether these work as items, abilities or mechanics created for a limited mode. That distinction matters: their effect on balance will depend on whether they enter the regular battle royale rules or remain inside a separate event rule set.
Respawn's limited-time events often reinterpret familiar maps through new rules or interactions. Street Fighter moves could change engagement distance, positioning choices and the risks of close combat. Until detailed patch notes arrive, however, damage values, availability and the Legends able to use these tools remain open questions rather than confirmed features.
Olympus is getting an event remix
The action will take place on what the announcement calls a remixed Olympus. That description could mean event-specific locations, visual dressing or interactive gameplay points rather than a full rebuild of the map. How Street Fighter's arcade and tournament identity blends with Olympus's bright futuristic setting should be one of the elements that gives the crossover its own character.
Map changes in Apex are rarely just decoration. Even small adjustments can alter sightlines, loot paths and squad rotations. Regular Olympus players would be wise to reassess their usual landing zones when the event opens on September 22. The current announcement does not list the affected areas or confirm when the event will end.
Fighter-inspired cosmetics are also coming
The collaboration will also introduce cosmetics inspired by Street Fighter 6 characters. Which Legend represents each fighter and how the items will be obtained have not yet been detailed. More information about store bundles, challenge rewards or a possible collection structure may arrive as the launch date approaches.
For now, September 22 is the firm date players can put on the calendar. The trailer establishes the tone, but waiting for official prices, the complete item list and the event duration is sensible before spending premium currency.
