Apex Legends update fixes Octane and FPS issues
A new Apex Legends patch closes an Octane jump pad bug. PC performance fixes also received further adjustments.
Octane jump pad bug fixed
The July 2 evening update for Apex Legends fixes an issue where Octane’s jump pads could bounce unintended objects. The bug made for funny firing range clips, but it could also undermine predictability in live matches.
FPS fixes get more tuning
The patch also adjusts recent FPS fixes. PC players affected by hardware-specific performance problems since the start of the split should see a smoother experience if the mitigation works on their setup.
What players should check
Before jumping into ranked, download the update and recheck graphics settings. If problems remain, drivers, shader cache and background apps are worth reviewing. Apex Legends accounts and content can be traded on GameinShop with escrow protection.
