Apex Legends August 11 Patch Fixes Weapons, Map Tracking, and Legend Bugs

The August 11 update addresses issues ranging from weapon animations to minimap accuracy. A follow-up deployment completed the Seer fix.

Key fixes for weapons and World’s Edge

The Apex Legends update released on August 11, 2026 groups together several technical fixes that players could clearly feel during competitive matches. The Mythic CAR now displays its reload animations correctly. That is more than a cosmetic adjustment: when the animation matches the weapon’s actual state, players can judge more reliably when they are ready to fire again in the middle of a fight.

The patch also makes the Hemlok Breach AR recoil behave as intended. A deviation in recoil can directly affect performance for players who have learned the weapon’s burst rhythm and compensation pattern. Anyone who adapted their aim to the incorrect behavior may want to run a quick firing-range check and rebuild their timing around the corrected pattern.

World’s Edge received an information fix as well, with the minimap now representing player location accurately. In a battle royale, map information drives rotations, ring-edge decisions, and spacing between squad members. A misplaced indicator might look minor, but it can prompt a bad route or an unnecessary split. The correction restores confidence that the interface matches the player’s true position.

Lifeline and Bloodhound interactions corrected

Two Legend ability interactions are included in the update. Lifeline’s Tactical audio now plays properly while another health-regeneration effect is active. Audio feedback in Apex Legends is not merely atmospheric; it tells a squad whether healing has started and helps players estimate when they can safely re-enter a fight.

The update removes a bug that allowed Bloodhound to respawn with a fully charged Ultimate. That unintended charge could give a returning player a powerful tracking tool outside the normal ability economy. Correcting it makes post-respawn resources more consistent with other Legends and reduces the chance of an unfair swing, particularly in ranked play.

Players should keep their client updated before queuing to receive these fixes. If behavior resembling the old bug still appears, a report that includes reproducible conditions will help distinguish a remaining issue from latency or a separate interaction. Short recordings are particularly useful for audio and minimap problems.

A second intervention for Seer

A follow-up update went live at 9 PM PT on the same day. It corrected the view-control slowdown attached to Seer’s stun after that value had moved in the wrong direction. Instead of being reduced, the effect had increased, leaving targets with a heavier loss of camera control than players experienced at the end of the previous season.

The additional deployment reduces Seer’s turn slow to its intended impact. It does not remove the ability’s pressure, but it gives targets the expected amount of control over camera movement. Seer players should retest their follow-up timing, while opponents can reassess the window for turning, escaping, or returning fire.

The source notes also point to a Tempo-related item under investigation, but the candidate text does not provide a complete description. It would therefore be misleading to present an unconfirmed change as part of the patch. For now, the verified fixes concern the CAR, Hemlok, World’s Edge, Lifeline, Bloodhound, and Seer; players should wait for a further official notice on Tempo.
